Although items can be added independantly of an inspection, the recommended method is to add each item during the first inspection as it it checked.
This has the benefit that they will be added in a logical order for future inspections and reduces the possibility of introducing errors due to incorrect historical information.
To add items, From the Carry Out Inspections page select report type and then add details as below:
Select Add Isolator to bring up the Isolator Details page.
Complete the form
Click Save once complete.
Select Isolator to carry out inspection or add another one.

Select Add RCD to bring up the RCD Details page.
Complete the form
Click Save once complete.
Select Emergency Device to carry out inspection or add another one.
Select Add Emergency Device to bring up the Isolator Details page.
Complete the form
Click Save once complete.
Select Emergency Device to carry out inspection or add another one.

Select Add Emergency Lighting to bring up the Emergency Lighting Details page.
Complete the form
Click Save once complete.
Select Emergency Device to carry out inspection or add another one.

The device number must be numerical and unique for each type of item. e.g. Each isolator must have a different number but Isolator and RCD can have the same number.
To view existing item numbers e.g. Isolators
Select the item report type (isolators), in the Carry out Inspection page as above.

If the item has a tag, it is suggested to beginning the Device name with Tag number for easy reference.
